General Information

The MAE Department offers some Aerospace Engineering MS degree courses through the Distance Education program. These courses are taught live to students in a classroom on the main campus and are available via Distance Education technology to off-campus students. Students enrolled through the Distance Education program are encouraged to participate during the class broadcast, while classes are recorded and archived.  Review a recorded lecture

Students must be admitted to the Aerospace Engineering MS degree program before being registered for Distance Education courses. Information about graduate admissions, including how to apply, can be found on the Admissions page. Like all graduate students, those taking courses through the Distance Education program must choose a degree plan and complete the required forms.  Visit the Graduate Degree Programs page for more information about the Aerospace Engineering MS degree programs.  Questions about MAE graduate admissions, or degree programs should be emailed to the MAE Grad Advisor.

Costs and computer requirements

  • Currently, tuition is $660/credit, and is subject to change each fall.  Tuition discounts are given to active military personnel. If a student has five or more associates from work who want to take the course together, additional tuition discounts may apply. 
  • Students access their classes using an Internet Connection and Adobe Connect, which requires the Flash player plug-in to use.  Download the Flash plug-in before class begins. 

Registering for courses

  • The MAE Grad Advisor works with the Distance Education program personnel to register students for MAE distance education courses.  Email the MAE Grad Advisor the MAE distance education courses you want to take and you will be registered.
