Distance Education
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers a MS degree in Aerospace Engineering through Distance Education for working professionals. Those courses taught through Distance Education are also taught live to students in the classroom on campus. Distance Education students are encouraged to participate during the class time live, but classes are recorded and archived.
Requirements for admissions:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
A minimum GPA of 3.3 is required for the last 60 semester or 90 quarter credits earned. All Aerospace MS graduate students are expected to be well-acquainted with either the FORTRAN or C programming language. Applicants are also required to submit evidence of potential graduate-level success through GRE scores in the verbal, quantitataive, and qualitative categories.
Process to apply:
Students make an informal application by completing Form 1 and submitting transcripts to the Graduate Academic Advisor.
Apply formally apply online at Graduate School. (Students may take a maximum of 12 credits before being formally admitted into the Department once they receive permission to take courses)
Degree requirements are the same for both on campus and Distance Education students.
