The new Ph.D. program in aerospace engineering was approved by the Utah System of Higher Education Board of Regents on Friday, May 15th and will be the only such program offered in Utah and one of only 12 offered in the western United States.

The Office of Naval Research's (ONR) Young Investigator Program (YIP) is designed to promote the professional development of early-career academic scientists who show exceptional promise for doing creative research. The funding supports lab equipment, graduate student stipends and other expenses.
