Students
USU’s student chapter of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) promotes awareness and understanding with regard to the application of nuclear science and technology. Our chapter provides leadership and communication opportunities for students to pursue careers in nuclear science and engineering. Each semester we attract top speakers from throughout the nuclear industry to talk about exciting opportunities in the field of nuclear power. We also organize an annual tour at Idaho National Lab, which is 140 miles North of USU and employs many USU alumni.
We are growing fast, as recognized in 2017 by two awards by the ANS national organization: 2nd place most new member recruits, and 2nd place highest percentage increase in membership.
